Kelly Baran knew that small acts of love bring a world of joy to people’s lives. Her dedication to family and friends is a shining example of living life to the fullest with a beaming smile and infectious laughter. Kelly, a wife and mother, with two sisters who are all very proud of the life she lived and the examples of love she gave every day to those around her, family, friends and strangers alike.
Living life with purpose made Kelly’s decision to join the Wisconsin Donor Registry an easy and simple choice. A small act of love that continues to bring joy to people’s lives even after she unexpectedly passed away in late 2023.
Because of this selfless act, more than 50 people in 15 states have benefited from Kelly’s tissue donations. Please consider registering yourself on the Wisconsin Donor Registry and notifying your family of your final wishes.
Kelly’s favorite film was Beaches (1988).
Here are the lyrics from the song, “Glory of Love.” (How fitting for someone who gave so many gifts of life through tissue donation.)
You’ve got to give a little, take a little, and let your poor heart break a little.
That’s the story of, that’s the glory of love.
You’ve got to laugh a little, cry a little, until the clouds roll by a little.
That’s the story of, that’s the glory of love.
As long as there’s the two of us, we’ve got the world and all its charms.
And when the world is through with us, we’ve got each other’s arms.
You’ve got to win a little, lose a little, yes, and always have the blues a little.
That’s the story of, that’s the glory of love.
That’s the story of, that’s the glory of love.
